Library Time

for your Preschooler

What happens at Library Time for your Preschooler?

Every class at the preschool will come to the library for one half hour library session each week.

During Library time we will sing songs, do nursery rhymes with finger play, read stories, play games, listen to stories on CDs or computers, and learn beginning skills on the student computers.

Most classes will check out one book each week.

All books are due on MONDAY.  If your child wants to keep her/his book for longer, no problem, just send me a note via her/his teacher.

Every family is welcome to check out additional books from our preschool collection.  Stop in any time during my hours at the preschool and I’d be happy to create a barcode for your family to check out books.  Likewise, we have an emerging collection of books for parents and teachers at the back of our library that parents are welcome to check out, such at The Potty Journey, and other books on topics such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Parenting, and Health/Nutrition issues.

Volunteering in the Library

I can usually use help reshelving books and with various jobs in the library throughout the year.  If you are able to help out with either your child’s library time, or another time, please contact me at maguirel@aaps.k12.mi.us, or call me at 994-2303 ext. 56101.
